  Victor Victrola 50 Specifications:
 -
Sorry... the Victor Victor Victrola 50 was sold on March 8, 2005. Just the same, below are some photos of our 1923 Victor Victrola 50 (the picnic model). The restoration of this talking machine was completed March 6, 2005.

Victor Victrola 50 The Victor Victrola 50 was manufactured by The Victor Talking Machine Co. from 1921 to 1925 and was originally priced at $50. This unusual machine was designed specifically as a portable phonograph and came in either oak or mahogany. The Victor Victrola 50 used the same motor as the Victrola IV and came standard with a Victrola No. 2 Reproducer. This version of the Victor Victrola 50 comes with a single-spring motor and a Victrola No. 2 Reproducer. A detailed description and history of the Victor Victrola 50 are available on pages 94 of the current "Look for the Dog" book (available for $19.95).

This mahogany talking machine has been completely restored back to factory condition using the same techniques as when the machine was new. Shellac and varnish were applied and hand rubbed between coats which completely duplicates the original finish. Of course the motor and reproducer have been rebuilt to insure hours of music and fun.
