Sorry... the Victor Victrola
VI sold on May 2, 2003. Just the same, below are some photos
of our 1918 Victor Victrola VI.
The restoration of this talking machine was completed August 2, 2002.
The Victor Victrola
VI was manufactured by The Victor
Talking Machine Co. from 1911 to
1926 and was originally priced between $25 to $35. This version of the
Victor Victrola VI is oak, comes
with a double spring motor, and an Exhibition Reproducer. A detailed description
and history of the Victor Victrola VI
is available on page 71 of the current "Look
for the Dog" book (available for $19.95
+ shipping/handling).
This oak talking machine has been completely
restored back to factory condition using the same techniques as when the
machine was new. Shellac and varnish have been applied and hand rubbed
between coats which completely duplicates the original finish. Of course,
the motor and reproducer have been rebuilt to insure countless hours of
music and fun.
